Who’s getting excited? This girl is! It’s only days away now and Kathy’s 30 day Coloring Challenge is coming up.
I’m not going to lie, I missed other in the past due to failed preparations. So this time, I’m preparing ahead of time. Here’s how:
This one probably seems very vague guys, but there is nothing worse then searching for the coloring supplies that you want when you want them. So I’ve decided to get them all together ahead of time for this challenge. The coloring instruments I’ve decided to collect for the challenge are:
- Copic Markers
- Gel Pens
- Copic Multiliners
- Distress Mini Ink Pads and Blenders
- Water Color Markers
- Colored Pencils
The papers I prefers for these mediums are:
- Recollections 110lb (For Copic Coloring)
- Watercolor paper
I’m thinking about sharing Kathy’s idea and putting my coloring supplies on my Raskog from Ikea, since it’s holding some of my coloring supplies already.
Preparing a Plan
Last time, I didn’t have a plan on when I would color and I didn’t let my family know this was something I wanted to do. Speaking up about something you want to accomplish is something I have learned lately is very important. Our families, as awesome as they may be, are not mind reader, nor should we expect them to be.
Speak up for yourself and plan your time. I plan on pre-stamping all of my images for the Coloring Challenge. The reason for this is simple. This way I can reach for an image and just color. Most of my coloring times may be late at night after I get done work and I will not want to fuss with the entire process of making a card or even stamping. So why bother? Pre-stamping will save my time and my personal coloring challenge for myself.
The biggest thing I want to do is have some fun. I have not had the time to really sit down and color lately, so hopefully this challenge will give me chance to chance to stretch those coloring muscles.
